Bridal Veil Falls
Western North Carolina
A photograph of Bridal Veil Falls near Highlands, North Carolina. There are many waterfalls throughout the United States with the name of Bridal Veil Falls possibly because their water cascades all look like a bride’s veil on her wedding day. This particular waterfall cascades over a cliff that hangs over the road. You can actually drive behind the spray!
Provenance
“Bridal Veil Falls” was one of approximately 45 images that were exhibited as part of a non-juried, invitation-only group show called 2009 Through Women's Eyes, By Women's Hands, sponsored by and benefitting The Women's Center (a United Way charity). The show opened with a reception on March 6, 2009, and I'm pleased to report that my print sold on opening night! The show was displayed for public viewing for 30 days, including the 2nd Friday Art Walk in Chapel Hill, NC, on March 13, 2009.
